The Sule Gone Phaya is located near the Gubyauk Gyi Temple on the southern main road. A small wooden sign on the roadside shows the way. The temple is not one of the famous ones of Bagan, so the surprise is even bigger what you get to see. In addition to smaller pagodas and ruins opens to the visitor a temple with elaborate ceiling and wall paintings, Buddhas and arcade.
On sunny days, the sunshine provides a special light inside the temple. From the outside it looks almost inconspicuous with its overgrown roof, hidden in the nature that tries to overgrow the temple. There are few visitors, so you can explore the temple in peace and enjoy the silence of the place.
