Because of its width, the river is overdrawn by bridges that are sometimes quite imposing, including the Runyang Bridge or the Wuhan First Bridge. In Wuhan, the Yangtze River flows into the Han River. Traditionally, the approximately 1,250-meter-wide Yangtze River is the lifeline for heavy and mass transports. Wuhan Harbor is China’s largest inland water port, as the river is uo to here also navigable to seagoing vessels.
