The evangelical church St. Nicholas, actually St. Nicholas’ Church, is a monumental sacred building in Potsdam. The church, built in classical style, was designed by Karl Friedrich Schinkel. In the Second World War the construction was severely damaged by air raids and Soviet artillery fire.
The St. Nicholas’ Church is located at the Old Market, the heart of Potsdam. It was – apart from the church – designed by Frederick the Great and his architects.
