The Qigu Lagoon, also called Neihaizau by fishers, was formed by the course of the Zengwen River. It is the largest lagoon in Taiwan.
The place has abundant ecological resources. With its rich biodiversity of marine life, oysters thrive here. There are also more than 30 species of crab, fish, shrimp and more than 200 species of shellfish. But not only in the sea, the lagoon has a lot to offer, but also in the air. It is one of the best bird watching places in the world.
The best way to travel here is by boat, to time you should be somewhat isolated, remote Wangzailiao Sandbank with its forests of Australian pines and creeping vines on the shore should not be missed.
