The pavilion of the North Pole reveres the Xuanwu god. The statue is 72 meters high, and it is one of the tallest buildings in Southeast Asia on a lake. The seven-star sword in the hand of the God has a length of 38.5 meters. The place of worship and the office of the temple lie below the statue.
The pavilion belongs to the Zuoying Yuan Di Temple and the Feng Gu Palace. Construction began in 1991 and was completed in 1995. From the seats of the pavilion, visitors can enjoy an impressive view of the Spring and Autumn Pavilion as well as the Dragon and Tiger Pagodas.
