The Dadong Arts Center is probably not a tourist attraction in Kaohsiung, which is found in a travel guide, as it is much more a part of the lives of the locals than a successful art space. As the exterior of the building is as unique as a water balloon, it is worth a visit. The Dadong Art Center is especially impressive after sunset when the twilight sky reflects the colorful lights that adorn its walls and complement the architectural charm.
But not only the exterior is worth a visit. The buildings include a huge play hall, an exhibition hall, the art library and a theater. Dadong’s Zen-style architecture and natural lighting make it a pleasant place to relax.
