The Buda Castle on the Burgberg in the Burgviertel is the largest building in Hungary and an attraction of the capital Budapest. It occupies the entire southern part of the Burgberg. The building is also known as the Royal Castle. The castle-palace is used today mainly by museums, but also for representative events of the Hungarian government.
The royal residence surpasses the metropolis as the highest-lying building and can be seen in all its dimensions in all its dimensions. The history of the Castle Palace dates back to the beginnings of the 13th century when King Béla built a castle here.
Today’s castle combines gothic and renaissance styles to a great overall image. It impresses in its dimensions and therefore rightly bears the title ‘largest castle of Hungary’.
