Suntec City

Suntec City, Singapore 2010

Designed as a city in the city, the five towers that house exhibition spaces and offices are widely seen. The massive complex consists of the Suntec City Mall, restaurants, bars, pubs, office buildings and the Fountain of Wealth.

The Suntec City was built in 1992 by Tsao & McKown Architects according to the concept of Chinese geomancy (Feng Shui). One of the largest fountains in the world – the Fountain of Wealth. This fountain, known as the “new achievement” in the Chinese translation, was built in 1995 and is switched off at regular intervals during the day to allow visitors to enter the fountain and to see the smaller fountain in the middle.
