The most expensive coffee in the world, the Kopi Luwak, is produced in Bali. Near the town of Ubud are numerous coffee plantations on the way to the north of the island.
The Kopi Luwak, also cat coffee, is won with the help of sneaks. It is won from the droppings of the creepy cat, a patch of Musang. Kopi is called “coffee” in Indonesian and Luwak is called “wild spot musang”. The cats eat the ripe red cherry and separate it with their core, the precious bean again. The production and above all the livestock farming of the cats is criticized by animal rights organization.
Apart from coffee production, fruit is also grown in the plantations. On the trees, at the orchid hang pineapples, bananas, jackfruit also cocoa fruits, papaya, and pepper.
