Located in the Chifeng Road in the Heping District in Tianjin, China House is a porcelain-decorated French building. Built in the 1920s, the house covers an area of 4,200 m². Adopting the architectural principle of eclecticism, the entire building is French-style, except the Italian Hall. It was inhabited by the temporary Chinese diplomat Huang Rongliang.
The windows, doors, columns, roof projections, ceilings, and walls are covered with a variety of colorful porcelain. There are also balconies, ceilings, walls and doors decorated in the interior. The porcelain house is unique in its form in the world.
